No Nay Never colt was sold and imported from Ireland after two starts. In his first stateside start, also his first start as a 3-year-old, Cathal finished 3rd in a useful sprint prep. When stretched out to a mile he rallied from the back of the pack to break his maiden with a surging finish. This lightly-raced colt has more room for development, and he’s being patiently handled by hot trainer John Sadler. As usual, late runners are getting most of the money in turf routes. Blinkers go on and there is a positive rider switch to Rispoli. Cathal is expected to offer a square price.
