The 3-year-old is tackling several older rivals here, and he’s shown steady improvement in all 4 starts. He broke his maiden first time out at Keeneland wearing blinkers. The hood was removed for his next 3 starts, which was surprising, but today they go back on. Rocketeer was beaten a length July 21 stretching out to 1-1/8 miles and making his first start at Saratoga. He did a lot of the dirty work to help set up the winner in that one. Draws a good post today, where his tactical speed will be dangerous for top trainer Brad Cox. Gets weight from all his elders today with the red hot Tyler Gaffalione in the saddle.
