2yo colt in the Dale Romans barn ran well enough to win in his 7 furlong debut. After breaking a step slow he chased the leaders to the turn, then went inside for the drive. He could not get by the heavily favored winner, but he was well clear of the rest of the pack. The figure that he earned would make him hard to beat, and with Giant’s Causeway and Medaglia d’Oro as his grandsires he should relish a route of ground. Romans shows a substantial flat bet profit with 2nd time starting 2yo going from sprint to route. Kinetic Control is also bred to handle an off track.
